International Day of Disabled Persons
Charity event from sponsors of the Foundation
In late 1992, General Assembly of the UN proclaimed December 3 as the International Day of Disabled Persons.
The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
Goals of this day are full and equal human rights and participation of persons with disabilities in social life. These goals were set on the World Programme of Action concerning Disabled Persons, adopted by the General Assembly in 1982.
MegaMarket company responded to the request to support this important date in social life. They fed 230 disabled, veterans and pensioners!
